Busy week.
Blimey this week has gone so quickly I can't believe it! The pregnancy felt like it took forever, but since she was born the time has flown!
Up visiting my parents at the moment which is nice and they love having their first grandchild around :)
Haven't got anywhere near as much work done as I wanted but I guess I am supposed to be on paternity and it's only been a week.
Moving into the new place on Monday and my brother coming to stay and give us a hand so that will be cool. Then we can settle in, start cooking and sharing some of the recipes we live and some we are yet to discover!
I also really like what James Wong does and I want to start making some stuff like natural shampoo and body wash etc.
If anyone reading this has any ideas/recipes/growing tips I would love to hear them so comment below or whatever.

Settling in
Baby Willow has started to settle in properly now, we had a much better nights sleep. Alice is being her usual wonderful self and taking everything in her stride.
Going to make today a really positive and productive day, soo much to do I almost don't know where to start!

It's a girl!
Wow what an experience! Didn't really have time to write a post yesterday, unbelievable.
Having a child is an experience im struggling to put into words other than simply amazing.
Both mother and child are very well, they want to keep them in for 24 hours and I wasn't able to stay overnight, so I'm currently enjoying eggs benedict and an Americano at The Captains Club, then off to Mothercare to get a few bits before visiting time.
Quite enjoying writing this blog, maybe it will help me to organise my thoughts a bit more, I generally feel like my head is full of useful ideas and info but they are all just tangled up together up there.
Must dash now but will put up some pictures of the new addition to my family.

Day 1
My first day on Paternity and I'm feeling quite lethargic. Maybe it's because of all the hours I've been working, the imminent arrival of my first child, knowing that I soon have to move house or most likely all of these accumulating to make this a very exciting and busy time in my life, which is wearing me out slightly.
I've decided to start writing a blog, I'm not 100% sure why but it feels like a good time to do so.
I have no idea what to expect of becoming a father, I have a very small (but wonderful) family, our child will be the first birth since my brother in 1991 and will be my parents first grandchild. Quite the contrast with Alice's family; she is one of ten siblings, more cousins than she can count, has 12 nieces and nephews with another on the way! We are very fortunate to have such a large network of love and support around us.
The midwife has jus arrived to give Alice a sweep as she is 6 days over due. Shit's getting real! Lol!
So I don't want too commit myself to what this blogs going to be about really other than just my life basically.
So here we are, day one... Sat in the living room listening to my baby's heart beat on the clever machine the midwife has.
Now that I'm off work I really need to make as much use of my time as possible, I'm currently in the startup stage with two businesses; an events and catering company and hospitality management consultancy company.
I have a brilliant business partner in the form of a highly driven executive chef. We have so many ideas and so much aspiration. Now is the time to really knuckle down...
